Fall is coming, and so are 2027 classes
Fall is approaching here at Vävstuga. The cool mornings and warm afternoons let us know colors will be changing soon. We’re putting the finishing touches on our 2027 Weaving Class Schedule and hope to release the dates in next month’s newsletter. We will open registration for all classes, except Drawloom ABC, in January. Drawloom ABC registrations will open in November and applications for DEF will be accepted around that same timeframe. Stay tuned to the newsletter for more info.
Monthly Palmgren video: Hand towels in såldräll
For September we have Palmgren Project #9: Hand towels in såldräll. These pleasing sturdy cotton and linen towels are exceptionally easy and satisfying to weave on any four shaft loom. The basic structure as discussed in full. The combination of materials holds its own width at the loom, so no temple is needed.

2026 class openings
Both of these classes have a Vävstuga Basics prerequisite.
- Sep 21–29 (9 days) — Dwell on Dräll, delve into the details of nine different Dräll techniques
- Oct 5–9 — Sword Smörgåsbord, expand your horizons on a simple 4-shaft loom
