This joyful class features some specialized equipment and techniques seldom seen in our regular Vävstuga classes. Come help us dust off a few underused tools and experience a variety of interesting projects. Take this opportunity to weave some holiday gifts, and have a peek at “behind the scenes” at Vävstuga.

More details
Weaving: Thurs–Thurs, 8 projects in 8 days. Each student will have a full day on each loom.
Theory: Classroom sessions will discuss each project in detail: drafting, equipment used, designing possibilities, and more.
Final day: Cutting off, hemming, finishing.
Behind the scenes: Catch a glimpse of things that usually happen while you are not here that could be entertaining and enlightening.

Prerequisites: Vävstuga Basics (Why does everyone need Basics?)
Max enrollment: 8
Location: Farmhouse studio
Course fee: $1400 (includes all instruction and studio time, course handouts, lunch every day, dinner Wed.)
Materials fee: $200
Days offered: Nine-day session, Thu–Fri
Schedule: Instruction time 9:00–12:30 and 1:30–4:00. Exceptions: on the last day, instruction ends at noon, and checkout must be completed by 3:00.
Special schedule note: This is a 9-day class, but since it starts on a Thu (after the Veterans Day holiday), we are treating Thu–Sun as the first “week” for instruction, and Mon–Tue as the “weekend.” Becky will check in with students Mon and Tue mornings as well as early afternoons. Tonya will be in the store at other times and can contact Becky if necessary.
