Imagine the joy of weaving an apron with tubular handwoven apron strings to match your tablecloth and napkins. Play with colors and learn a variety of new techniques while you make an impressive pile of beautiful things for your kitchen.

All the warps will be wound and beamed before you get here with your choice of color. (We will send several colorway options for you to choose from.) Monday morning will begin with the peaceful tasks of threading the heddles, planning your project, and choosing colors and yarns. As soon as your loom is tied up and ready to go, weaving can begin. We will cut pieces off throughout the week as necessary in order to re-sley and/or have fabric to sew with.
Choose your warp length of 6, 9, or 12 meters before class.

Band looms can be dressed with beautiful bands that coordinate with your warp to be used as trimmings, loops, hangers, and straps.
Special guests
- Lisa Hill
will demonstrate an array of amazing aprons, and will sit down with us for a session of hammering snaps and grommet samples, simulating zipper sewing techniques in paper, cutting your own bias binding, and covering buttons with your handwoven material. - Sara Jeanne Burke
will be our seamstress extraordinaire, to sew hems and make aprons, or coach you to do those things, in addition to providing her great wisdom on all of the things you can do with your beautiful fabrics. - Katie Cavacco
will be on hand during her usual evening hours if people have sewing questions or needs.

Course fee: $950 (includes all instruction and studio time, course handouts, lunch Mon–Fri, dinner Thu)

Days offered: Five-day session, Mon–Fri
Schedule: Instruction time 9:00–noon and 1:30–4:00. Exceptions: on the last day, instruction ends at noon, and checkout must be completed by 3:00.
