Barn Benefit Festival
Keep this delightful event on your calendars! Saturday – June 10, 2017 – NOON until THE WEE HOURS!
An all day event featuring weaving, spinning, dyeing, music, food, and a weaving and folk bazaar not to be missed, including used looms, reeds, and other fabulous items! All at our pastoral Farmhouse setting and to benefit Fabric of Life501(c)3.
Display at People’s United Bank
If you’re local, come see our beautiful big display of weaving filling the lobby at People’s United Bank here in Shelburne Falls. The bank staff had a blast learning to weave on our little 60cm Öxabäck Lilla loom, and anyone else is welcome to try it out as well.
New and improved Project Planning page on our Web Store
We have added even more helpful information to our website on our Project Planning Toolspage: the Vävstuga Sett Charts and Project Sheets! In an easy to print format, our Sett Charts let you know what reeds we use to make our fabrics here at Vävstuga on our looms. Our blank Project Sheets, used in all of our classes, are also available for your planning and record keeping.
Updated MiniMovies page
Becky and our webmaster extraordinaire, lydia, have been busy updating the MiniMoviespage on our website. If you click on the upper left corner of any of the video categories you get to choose from a list of movies. We are especially pleased to have found our old silent footage from 2005 in Becky’s original studio. Not great quality, but historic, fun, and informative. Enjoy!
