This special week brings together the excitement of weaving beautiful fabrics with making amazing pillows, bags, and book covers. All of these can come in all sizes, shapes, and forms. Useful and stylish, these items will give joy to you and your friends.
Our eight special fabrics will include an intriguing collection of Vävstuga favorites listed below, and even a drawloom. Amy’s inspirational drawloom book covers will make you drool! Jenna’s expertise with the sewing machine and gentle guidance will inspire all sorts of pillows, totes, zipper cases, phone pouches, tablet bags, and of course book covers.

Jenna and staff will help you make fun choices and coach you in construction. Sewing is optional; decide while you are here. Bring a sewing machine if you like.
Schedule
Mon – We will start threading heddles, and continue loom set ups. Each student will receive their own packet of project sheets for reference and note taking during the week.
Tue – Weaving begins. We will cut off pieces at the end of the day and wash them to prepare for sewing.
Wed – Sewing sessions will begin as weaving continues. Bring a sewing machine if you can. We have some on hand to share as well. Jenna will offer ideas and samples to inspire your creativity.
Thu–Fri – Weaving and sewing continue, cutting off as needed. If Jenna has time she might do the sewing for you! We will share fabric samples from all the looms for your notebook pages.

Prerequisites: Considerable weaving experience

Location: Farmhouse
Course fee: $975 (includes all instruction and studio time, course handouts, lunch Wed–Fri, dinner Thu)
Materials fee: $75
Days offered: Five-day session, Mon–Fri
Schedule: Instruction time 9:00–noon and 1:30–4:00. Exceptions: on the last day, checkout must be completed by noon.
