Flamboyant Blankets & Rugs

Warm and fuzzy for fall

These cozy luxurious blankets and vibrant durable rugs are favorites in our Vävstuga living room

Instructors: Becky Ashenden & Eva Gaultney

Dates offered 2024: Nov 18–22

These beautiful blankets are cuddled and admired by everyone who spends time in our living room. A special weft-faced technique with two broken twill layers woven together produces a thick and luxurious blanket, with front and back sides showing two different colors and patterns. You will have the opportunity to choose a block design and will receive coaching with your color and pattern choices for weaving. The Dubbelbindning rug is in a related but different structure that uses the same designing method.
